I was born and raised Down the Road in Buras, Louisiana—where the crawfish boils are hot, the hugs are real, and the connections run deep. In my hometown, everybody knew everybody. And if you didn’t? You walked right up, introduced yourself, shook hands with the men, hugged the ladies, and made a new friend before the sun went down.

Before social media, we met people the old-school way. We had real conversations. If you liked a girl, you didn’t swipe—you walked up, looked her in the eye, and asked her to dance or go grab a bite. That’s the way we were raised: respectful, honest, and kind. You didn’t need a reason to hold the door open or say “good morning.” You just did it—because it was the right thing to do.

But when I left Louisiana and started traveling—to New Mexico, Phoenix, and even Hawaii—something changed. I stayed that same southern gentleman, just being myself… but the world didn’t feel the same. People looked at me like I was crazy for saying “hello.” I’d compliment someone’s car or hold the door open, and I’d get stares, silence, or suspicion in return. It crushed me. Not because I expected anything back, but because I realized just how disconnected the world had become.

That feeling stuck with me.

And that’s when the vision for Old School Bonds was born.

This isn’t just a business. It’s a mission. A movement. A way to bring real people together again—in nightclubs, gyms, national parks, churches, schools, grocery stores… everywhere. It’s about rebuilding a culture where kindness, conversation, and character actually mean something again.

Old School Bonds is for those of us who still believe in a good handshake, a kind word, and taking the time to really get to know someone. It’s for those walking a path of faith, sobriety, self-growth—or just wanting to feel seen and valued in a world that’s moving too fast.

We’re building a community of heart-led humans. People who know that life is better when you slow down, show up, and treat others with dignity.
